The client arrived with a saved image of a pear bezel solitaire she had been drawn to for months. She appreciated the clean lines and the way the bezel wrapped protectively around the diamond, but something felt too quiet. During our first conversation, she explained that she wanted the ring to feel more dynamic, something that brought movement and a romantic sculptural quality without losing the modern security of the bezel. She envisioned a band that would catch light as her hand moved, adding life to the minimalist setting.

3D render

The 3D renders explored how the split shank twist would flow into the bezel head without overwhelming the pear silhouette. We modeled several twist tensions and taper angles, ensuring the band's movement felt organic rather than mechanical. The bezel was drawn to hug a one-and-a-half carat pear footprint, with a low profile that kept the stone secure and close to the finger. Once the client approved the balance between the sculptural band and the sleek bezel, we locked the final 14K yellow gold geometry for production.

Stone Selection

The client requested a two-carat pear lab-grown diamond with exceptional brilliance and no visible inclusions. We sourced stones from IGI certified collections, presenting options that met her clarity and color expectations while staying within her investment range. She gravitated toward a near-colorless grade that allowed the warm yellow gold to enhance rather than compete with the diamond.
