The client arrived with a saved image of a six-prong marquise solitaire, the kind of timeless silhouette that never goes out of style. She loved the elongated drama of the marquise shape and the cathedral band's architectural elegance, but she wanted more than a straight solitaire. She asked for hidden details that would reveal themselves throughout the day, sparkle that felt personal rather than showy. The goal was to preserve the clean, streamlined profile while building in flashes of brilliance visible only from the side.

We modeled the marquise diamond in its six-prong cathedral setting first, establishing proportions that balanced the stone's elongated silhouette with a graceful band profile. The hidden halo was rendered as a tight ring of round brilliants nestled directly beneath the center stone, invisible from above but catching light from the sides. We explored pavé density along the cathedral shoulders, settling on a graduated layout that enhanced sparkle without competing with the marquise. The client approved the renders once the halo remained truly concealed in top view.

Stone selection
